In many companies, commissions are pieced together in a spreadsheet at the end of the month: who brought which leads, which of them became customers, at what rate, what's already been paid? Each of those questions is a source of errors — and of arguments with partners.
InsightHub answers them where the information is created anyway: on the lead. The feature spans three pages.
Salespeople: your internal team
Salespeople are employees who earn commission on leads. Each profile can be linked to a user in your InsightHub organization — pick that person on a lead and they are also set as the assignee in future automations.
For each person you set a default commission: either a percentage of the deal value or a fixed amount per won lead. It's applied automatically as soon as the person is attached to a lead and can be adjusted per deal.
Affiliates: your external partners
Affiliates work the same way — but they sit outside your organization: people or companies who bring you leads. Several affiliates on one lead are possible too, say an introducer and a closer. Partners you no longer work with are set to inactive instead of being deleted — the reporting stays intact.
Payouts: everything in one place
The Payouts page is where it all comes together:
- You assign a salesperson or affiliate to a lead and enter the deal value.
- The moment the lead becomes a customer, InsightHub calculates the commission automatically at that person's rate.
- The table shows, per person, the deals won, the total earned, the amount already paid and what's outstanding.
- Expanding a row shows the individual leads behind the numbers.
- Once you've transferred the money: Mark paid.
What changes
No spreadsheet at month's end, no manual maths, no “have you settled the March deal yet?”. The commission is created the moment the deal closes in the CRM — and every number can be traced back to the individual lead.
Where the leads it all hangs on come from is shown in the Leads overview; how they move through the pipeline, on the Kanban board.
