A list answers the question “what's new?”. A pipeline answers the question “where is it stuck?”. That's what Boards are for in InsightHub: the same leads, as a Kanban board.
Creating a board
When you create a board, you choose which statuses appear as columns — for example New, Attempted, Initial call, Customer and Lost, or any other status you use. You set the order of the columns by drag and drop. That way the board mirrors exactly how your sales team works — not how a standard tool thinks it should.
Boards exist for leads and for helpdesk tickets: the same principle turns support conversations into a column view where a ticket travels from status to status.
Move a card, change the status
Open a board and every lead appears as a card in the column of its status. Each card shows:
- contact details and the prospect's message
- the source the lead came from
- the assignee
Drag a card into another column and the lead's status changes instantly — fully in sync with the Leads overview. There is no second version of the truth: board and list are two views of the same data.
At the top of the board you search by name and filter by source — handy to see only the inquiries from one campaign or channel.
When the board is the better view
- In the weekly meeting: the whole pipeline on one screen, each column a question — who's waiting for us, who's waiting for documents?
- When things back up: a full Initial call column and an empty Customer column tell you more than any metric.
- At handover: whoever moves a card on moves the responsibility on too — visible to everyone.
When a lead becomes a customer, InsightHub calculates the commission for sales staff and partners automatically — see the post on salespeople, affiliates and automatic payouts.
